Below is a summary of my most notable achievements.
I have always represented my schools in the E.S.SKI.A (English Schools Ski Association) Races. These are held yearly and consist of a regional qualifying round, English schools champs and British schools champs. Four members are selected from each school and the times of the fastest three skiers on each run are combined. In 2009 I won the title of British Schools Individual Female Champion and the ‘Boyd Anderson Trust’ trophy in a field of 99 girls at Pontypool, Wales. This is my highest acheivement and one which I am most proud of to date.
Additionally through these races I was chosen to train with the English Schools Team in La Thuile 2005 and Geilo, Norway from 2006-2009. Through this I represented England at the ISF World Schools Championships 2008 Alpe d’Huez, France – the team consisting of 5 girls, including myself, were third overall – the best England has ever achieved in this championships to date! I also represented England once again in this event, ISF March 2010 in Folgaria, Italy. Here, similarly to 2008, there were approximately 400 ski racers from over 20 different countries competing. On this occasion we were not as successful; finishing in a respectable 6th place.
2008/2009 Season (JUNIOR 1 – 1993&1992)
In my first FIS year I had some success with 3 top 15 finishes. I began the season with the BARSC Championships held in Petzen, Austria. I was the Junior 1 BARSC Slalom Champion and finished 6th overall. My season progressed with strength as I finished 2nd Junior 1 in the English Championships Slalom and 3rd Junior 1 in the British Senior Slalom.
2009/2010 Season (JUNIOR 1 – 1993&1994)
I had 8 top 15 finishes this season, and missed out on third J1 in the English Championship Slalom by .37 of a second. I also performed well in slalom races at Le Corbier and Mammoth Mountain, where I finished fifth overall and 1st Brit in both races.
2010/2011 Seson (JUNIOR 2 – 1991,1992&1993)
This last season I focussed heavily upon my school work and only managed 4 top 15 finishes. I was 2nd GBR in the Scottish Slalom, 3rd GBR in the Treblecone Giant Slalom, and 3rd GBR in the Belgian National Champs Slalom held in Val Thorens.
2011/2012 Ongoing Season (JUNIOR 2 – 1992,1993&1994)
I started this season in NZ, I competed in 10 races. 8 of which I finished in the top 20 and in 7 races I was first GBR. I scored my first sub 100 and can’t wait for more competitions this season!
